WE ARE ORANGE

For those of you who don't know what "orange" means...it means that authorization for the 2nd DNA test has been obtained from the U.S. Embassy in Guatemala. We were told that our attorney would be going for authorization this week. Of course, in my head I anticipated her going Monday. Here we are Tuesday and I am chomping at the bit wondering if the authorization has been obtaind. So, I e-mailed our NY attorneys.

Long story short...our attorney in Guatemala has obtained the DNA authorization!!! Now we are waiting to hear that the test was performed and the results are on their way to the lab here in the U.S. Jaime (NY attorney) stated that he would be able to give us a "good" estimate of travel dates when the lab receives the saliva swab to start testing.

Once the test is performed, I believe the average wait is about 7-10 for the results to be received by the U.S. Embassy in Guatemala. Once the results are received, the Embassy then issues our PINK appointment and we hop on a plane heading to Guatemala. We are still hoping to be in Guatemala the week before Christmas (or earlier of course)! I don't think it is unrealistic to believe, but as we all know...you never know what can happen! Please continue to pray for a quick and smooth completion to our journey to bringing Malayna home.
