Our trip to AZ

Here is the video montage of our trip to AZ. I had a hard time deciding what photos ot use and what photos not to use...so, it turned out longer than I had anticipated.

We had a great time visiting with my brother and his family, attending my cousin's wedding and visiting with my Aunt Kathy. We arrived on Saturday evening after missing our connecting flight in Salt Lake City. Our flight from Chicago was delayed which caused us to miss our flight in Salt Lake. So, we spent about 4 hours in the airport in Salt Lake City. We were very happy and relieved that the airport in Salt Lake City has a small kids play area. So, we spent a lot of time there so Layna and Brayden could stretch their legs and burn some energy.

The wedding was on Sunday. The ceremony was held outside and was absolutely beautiful. The weather was perfect. It was a pretty emotional ceremony given the past tragedies the family has faced. There was a moment of silence held for my late Uncle Keith and Cousin Cody. We know they were looking down on the wedding.

On Monday we spent the morning at home (my brother's house) and headed to my Aunt Kathy's for the afternoon/evening.

On Tuesday we took the kids to the park in the morning. Then, we went to a playland place for Hope and Myles birthdays. The kids had a blast as you can see in the pictures.

We had a WONDERFUl time, but the excitement didn't start until our plane ride home on Wednesday. Brayden ended up throwing up on the plane home...NOT FUN! I had had a feeling something was not right with Brayden because he was very fussy, clingy and emotional ALL morning. Then, he slept on the way to the airport AND on the flight to Houston. It wasn't until the flight from Houston to Chicago that he got sick. I felt so bad for the little guy. It also seemed as though he had a fever.

On Thursday, Layna came down with the same thing but different end (if you catch my drift) while we were at Walmart of all places. That was a nice mess to clean up!!! Brayden spiked a fever after our trip to Walmart. On Friday, we stayed home ALL day so the kids could rest. As of today, Brayden seems much better, but still no appetite. We can't seem to get Layna's issue under control though. Everything that goes in comes right out...ick! I hope they are better soon...Matt heads out of town for work on Tuesday.

So, that's the scoop on our trip to AZ...hope you enjoy the video montage!

Great photos. Looks like you had a fun time despite the illness (poor Brayden!). Your nephew looks like a mini-Eric.

Hope the kids feel better soon!
