Just some stuff...and pictures

I have been meaning to post photos this week, but something is going on with our desktop computer. Instead of waiting for the problem to be remedied...I decided to use the laptop. I don't usually upload photos on the laptop, but oh well.

Anyway...a few things...

***Brayden is still wearing big boy undies! He is doing very well staying dry, but we are having issues with poopies...ugh. He still isn't telling me when he needs to go, but stays dry for about 1.5-2 hours until I tell him it is time to go. We still have a ways to go...but, I am excited about the $ we are saving on diapers.

***Layna is sleeping through the night more often than not. On the nights that she does wake she just whines (doesn't really qualify as a cry)in her crib until she falls back to sleep. So, we have made definite progress! Brayden is still waking in the night, and we can't figure out why. It doesn't seem like bad dreams or nightmares anymore. It did for a while. Now, it seems like habit.

***I can't believe it, but the invitations to Layna's 1st birthday have gone out! How time flies...she is going to be 1 on March 30th. She has learned so much since coming home. She learned to army crawl and has since started crawling on her hands and knees. She is starting to pull herself up on things...just this week. She loves to mimic the works and sounds that her brother makes. She LOVES to play in the dog water bowls because she knows mommy does not like it. She crawls over to them, looks at me and smiles her cutest smile. She is such a happy little girl. We are so lucky to be blessed with two wonderful children.

***Brayden's language is EXPLODING. He is trying to tell stories and hold conversations and he LOVES to talk on the phone. He and Grandma Thompson have some great conversations regularly. He doesn't quite understand that the person on the phone can't see him...he tries to show things to the person he is talking to. It's too cute. He is a very active boy and just doesn't seem interested in learning to identify letter, colors and so forth. He does, however, love to count. We are only up to 10, but he has it mastered. He loves to color and play with play dough. He LOVES to be outside, so we all can't wait until the weather is more consistently warmer.

Just a cute Layna photo. She is such a ham for the camera. I enjoy it so much, especially now that Brayden does not like having his picture taken. He is too busy trying to see what picture I just took...the wonderful technology of digital cameras!

Layna as a dinosaur in the bathtub, according to Brayden. I put Layna's hair in a mohawk, and Brayden said "Layna dinosaur". It was too cute!


An attempt at getting a photo of the children together. It is near IMPOSSIBLE to get them both looking and sitting still...let along smiling! I pray the photographer can do it at JCPenney when we go in March!
